Hyundai Motor America
OBJECTIVES: In order to set itself ahead of other leading automakers, Hyundai Motor America needed to upgrade its exhibits program with an ultra-modern, high-tech look. The new displays had to present a significant contrast both with past Hyundai exhibits and with those of its competition.
SOLUTIONS: Brushed metal replaced wood laminates as the primary design feature. A booth-length 30’ high stretch-fabric graphic wall was employed to separate the Hyundai property from its neighbors. The exhibit’s modular design provided a platform for re-purposing the exhibit as a backdrop for press events and product reveals. Interactive kiosks were also used so that visitors could “design” their own Hyundai automobile on the show floor. Seven exhibit kits were built for this program and were presented at some thirty-six shows annually.
RESULTS: Hyundai’s auto show program attracted an unprecedented number of attendees. Apart from the exhibit’s inherent appeal, long-time car show patrons were drawn to see the automaker’s vehicles.
